Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly lake house tucked away in the beautiful Lake Sunapee region. Swim, fish and kayak on this quiet, serene lake. Hike the trail around the lake or Mount Sunapee trails to catch the breathtaking views. Watch the sun rise lake side in the morning and kayak out onto the water at dusk to catch the sunset. In the winter go skiing at nearby Mount Sunapee, just 3 minutes away. Snowmobile access is right down the road and don't forget ice fishing.
Inside to the right is the a well appointed kitchen with new appliances, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and Keurig combo unit and all the pots and pans and cooking utensils you will need to make meals just like at home.
Next to the kitchen is the bathroom with a large shower stall, towels, shampoo and soap.
Walk through the kitchen and turn into the living room and dinning room space. Sit and eat your meals overlooking the lake or lounge in the living room and enjoy the 43 inch Roku flat screen TV. Please note that free wi-fi is available through out the house.
The Master bedroom is next with a beautiful platform bed that includes drawers underneath for storage and Vista II queen size mattress with memory foam top. Wake up to the views of the lake while lounging in bed.
The AC wall unit in the bedroom coupled with ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room/dinning room keep the space cool and comfortable in the warmer weather.
When you enter the house and turn left , go through the door and you can go straight ahead into the garage where you will find 2 kayaks and a paddle board at your disposal. Please make use of the life jackets when you go out onto the water. Included are recycling totes and a large trash bin to help you keep your kitchen clutter free. There is also a gas dryer for your towels and swimsuits and skiing or snowmobiling clothing.
The best part of this lake house is through the other door and up the stairs to Lake View Loft. Huge windows overlook Mountain View Lake. It's a large sunny room with a double bed and two twin beds. The platform beds include 2 drawers each for storage and Vista II mattresses with memory foam tops. Lay in bed and enjoy the view of the lake or watch a movie at night on the 50 inch Roku flat screen TV. For those desiring a bit of inside exercise enjoy the lake view on the stationary bike. The loft includes a free standing AC unit coupled with a ceiling fan to keep things comfortable.
Directly across the road is a stretch of lawn and your access to the water. Relax on the picnic table or sit by the firepit at night.

Summary: We had a fantastic stay at Dragonfly Cottage! The place was spotlessly clean, beautifully organized, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed—and then some. The attention to detail made it feel like a home away from home. The host was an excellent communicator, making the check-in process seamless and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We highly recommend this charming getaway and would definitely stay here again!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Dragonfly Cottage. We had everything we needed for our stay and good communication from the host. Extremely clean cottage and we appreciated the air conditioning as it was July. Two pizza places were less than a mile away as well as Sunapee State Park. The trees near the water's edge provided cool shade to relax under even in the heat of the day. There was always a nice breeze off the water. Wood and kindling were provided to build a campfire. Smores are always the best!

Summary: Stayed for two different weekends for skiing. The location is great--2-3 minute drive from the mountain and coming from the north so you do not get stuck in ski traffic on 103. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. the place is not huge and the bathroom is a little tight, but everything is in good condition. The large bedroom with three beds is great space for kids, with plenty of space and a big tv. Kathryn was easy to work with.

Summary: Love little beachside property, well equipped, tastefully furnished, air-conditioned perfectly. The beach was very clean and suitable for young kids. Waterfront sitting area with chairs, grill and fire pit for relaxing family time. Last but not least, very attentive hosts.

Summary: We got to stay at this lovely location with our teen children during their Winter vacation week. Sunapee resort is less than a mile away with nice skiing conditions. We truly enjoyed the views and accomodatios. Communication was great and we highly recommend this place.

Summary: Nothing beats getting up in the morning and being out on the water within 3 minutes: no lifting, grunting, hassle involved- just shoving out right from the beach, where the kayaks live in nice weather. That bliss overshadowed any and all other little issues- no internet connectivity for my up-to-date devices (my husband was able to hook in with an ethernet cord for his crappy laptop) and no washing machine (fine, just didn't know). Wonderful communication otherwise; loved the location.

Summary: For close to ten years I have spent a week's vacation at various lakes in Southern and Central NH, I staying in many pleasant cottages. My stay at Firefly Cottage was probably my best visit to date. Kathryn and Eric are attentive and conscientious hosts, making sure the house is well equipped and everything runs smoothly. The cottage is attractive and comfortable. There are many thoughtful touches, such as providing bathroom amenities similar to those in better hotels, plus a basket of mosquito repellant, hand sanitizer, and sun lotion. No small detail was overlooked. The cottage is cozy and has nice views of the lake. My early morning swims were delightful, as were my excursions in the Sunapee area.
